Blurb:

Mermaid mythology meets Native American lore.

She was irresistible to every man…except one

Lily Borsage is the ultimate siren: gorgeous, aloof and irresistible to all the men in Bayou La Siryna. All of them, that is, until Nashoba Bowman comes back to town. The Native American kid whose innocent first kiss Lily remembers fondly is now all grown-up, hot as an Alabama summer—and immune to Lily's charms. What self-respecting mermaid could resist finding out more?

But Nash has a dark history that puts any woman he loves in grave danger, and a heritage of power he isn't ready to accept. And Lily has a secret that no mortal man can ever know. When a mysterious enemy starts menacing Lily, they will both have to risk everything—and embrace their deepest destinies—if they want to survive.

~ REVIEW ~
5 STARS

Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone. While I wasn't able to read the first two books (yet), I still enjoyed reading Lily and Nash's story.

I liked that they were childhood friends but they separated when Nash had family trouble.

Lily is a full siren and because of her allure as a Siren, people misjudged or exaggerated her love life. In a sense, some of it were her fault but she acknowledged that. Lily might have barriers but she is loyal to her family even if her mother wants her to marry a merman. In this, she too wants to find true love. Then comes, Nash, the Native American who used to be her friend and her first kiss. As she tries to bait Nash with her Siren wiles, Nash is immune to her. This of course puzzled her at the same time while they both have feelings of lust for each other, Nash tries to avoid Lily because of his past in women.

At first, I thought Lily's personality was shallow but then I learned more about her and I understood her. It's the same with Nash since he used to be a lady's man (still is).

I liked how Lily stood up for herself and that she's very loyal to her sister especially to one particular person who is always let down by her mother. She's protective of her family and will do anything to help them. Plus, even though other females treated her badly, she still was able to treat them kindness.

Her relationship with Nash was both funny and frustrating. Like her I wondered why Nash was immune to her. I finally got the answer with that twist somewhere. There's more to Nash and his heritage.

One other character I liked was Nash's grandfather. Even though he lead a good long life, I pitied him because of the decisions he made and when he lost his wife, Nash's grandmother.

I won't spoil the rest but all I can say that Nash's past is finally catching up to him which means Lily's in danger and he might be the only one who can save her.

Book Description:
Like father, like son...
Sophie Thibodeau has been on the run from the father of her son for more than fifteen years.  Now her son, Joshua, is changing, and her greatest fears are about to be realized.  He's going to end up being just like his father----a man who can change into a wolf.
Dylan Black has been hunting for Sophie since the night she ran from him----an obsession he cannot afford in the midst of an impending war.  Dylan controls Rhuddin Village, an isolated town in Maine where he lives with an ancient Celtic tribe.  One of the few of his clan who can still shift into a wolf, he must protect his people from the Guardians, vicious warriors who seek to destroy them.
When Sophie and Dylan come together for the sake of their son, their reunion reignites the fierce passion they once shared.  For the first time in years, Dylan's lost family is within his grasp.  But will he lose them all over again? Are Joshua and Sophie strong enough to fight alongside Dylan in battle? Nothing less than the fate of his tribe depends on it...
Available at  Amazon and  BN
Teaser Excerpt from Celtic Moon:
“I’m going for a run,” Dylan said dryly, taking off toward the woods.  His people had wronged Sophie.  He was convinced of that now.  And still she had come home to him, of her own free will—for their son.
His wolf clawed at his spine for release.  Its fury, its need—its desire for the woman who’d had the courage to return for their child was no longer controllable.
The wolf wanted out.
Having her near and within reach was akin to pain.
Perhaps it was a good thing Sophie hadn’t invited him to stay, Dylan thought as he entered the forest, ripping off clothes as he walked.  For if she had, he wasn’t sure if he could have controlled his hunger.
It had been too long.

~ REVIEW ~
5 STARS

An interesting wolf shifter romance. It definitely has the whole plot vibe going on and the romance. I just loved the romance.

To cut it short, Sophie ran away from her husband Dylan, who should have explained things correctly and not letting Sophie run off. That might have been the outcome but Sophie is one tough cookie, well, you know what I mean. It's the same for her son  as well. It turned out that her son inherited the shifter gene and needs Dylan's help.

I'll leave it to your imagination how that one goes. Let's just say, you could feel the tension. There's also their second chance of being together and staying true to one another. Realizing both their mistakes and learning from them. Their chemistry is scorching.

Here comes the second better part of the story that literally involves around the Celtic origins and most of all their enemy, the Guardians. It's not all cloud and rainbows. Now, Dylan must protect not only his family but his clan as well.

When the Guardians hone in on Rosa, Luc must fight to protect his new bride. And as war descends, the unlikely allies discover their destinies are irrevocably entwined…
Available at  Amazon and  BN
Excerpt from Summer Moon:
Luc wrapped the knitted blanket around Rosa and draped it like a shawl. Fisting his hands around the corners, he pulled her forward, like a fish caught in a weir. Before she could guess his intent, she found herself on his lap, cocooned in heat and hot male skin, with her legs dangled over his knees.
“Now, is this so bad?” he taunted while tucking her head under his chin.
“I suppose not.” Pondering where to place her hands, she ended up curling them in her lap, while her shoulder rested in the crook between his arm and chest.
In truth, it was hypnotic setting on him like this—dangerously so, like the hush before a storm. The rise and fall of his torso as he breathed lulled like a male siren, along with the weight of his arms and the lure of his skin against her cheek. The most exquisite scent of forest and man wove around her senses. More tempting, underneath it all lay the hint of musk, of potent wolf waiting in the shadows to protect her if the human failed.
All her tension ebbed like a babe in caring arms. Away from Guardians and wrapped in strength; she’d not felt this safe since childhood. How sad that she’d found peace with a virtual stranger. And how easily she could become addicted.
Oh, yes . . . this was dangerous. “How long do we have to stay like this?”
“Shhhh . . .” His throat moved as he swallowed while his hands trailed up her thighs and under her sweater, but only to knead the muscles of her lower back.
As if she weren’t becoming a puddle of goo already.
Before long, her eyes grew heavy, drifted closed. Had he been waiting for this moment of surrender, she wondered drowsily, when her guard had dissolved enough to welcome his gentle game? And did she care? For this was far more pleasant than any others she’d been forced to play.
He shifted to the side and moved his shoulder, leaned a bit, and her head rolled back, only to be caught by the soft pressure of his mouth on hers. So tender she didn’t even open her eyes. Were a man’s lips supposed to be this soft? Like with other carnal acts, she had little experience with kissing, sadly enough.
Having known only violence or indifference, her perceptions reeled. Indeed, if this was passion, then she didn’t know how to respond. But she was curious enough to try. She would admit that to herself, and even to him if he asked . . . She was so hungry to know what others whispered about in giggly tones. How many stories had she heard, from Tesni and others, of their forbidden trysts and naughty secrets, only to feel like a bystander to their private joy?
“Open your mouth, Rosa.” The order came on a husky whisper against her lips.

Available at Amazon  and   BN
Excerpt from Autumn Moon
Too wired to sleep, Elen opened the wine and poured a glass, sipping quietly as she walked over to the bed.  Cormack slept above the coverlet and on his back, with one arm raised over his head, while the other rested by his side.  His hair was still damp from his shower, and he wore jeans but no shirt, as if he’d just rested his head and sleep claimed him first.
His chest rose and fell with even breaths.  She was not one to marvel over physical attributes, but this was Cormack, and his body was meant for pleasure, like a goddess had molded him for her personal divine gratification.  His frame was large, and toned, with wide shoulders and a firm chest that tapered down to his hips.  His hardened stomach would provide the perfect friction were she to ride him just like this.
And as that image flooded her mind, another, more wicked one, followed.  It was greedy, and selfish, but all her niceness had been used up for the day.  He looked peaceful, and innocent, but the man was practically immortal after all.  Their kind did not die from lack of sleep.  They might go mad, of course, but that took a few weeks.  And had he not said, do with me as you will?
She needed to touch him.  That was all.  Well, no, she wanted more, but for now that would do.  Taking a sip of her wine, she gently set the glass on an end table by the bed, and gave into temptation.  Starting by his heart, she brushed lightly across his chest, tracing down the indent between, and lingering on the valleys and curves of his muscles.  Flattening her hand over his stomach, she felt the soft hair that began just above the waistband of his jeans and disappeared below.  She had never seen him in this restful state, at least not in his human form, and took in her ravenous fill.
Her hand lingered over the button of his jeans.  She swallowed, wanting… Oh, how she wanted.  It burned like molten earth, fed by a need that had been denied for too long.  Even now she felt her body moisten and swell just from imagining what waited beyond that closure, and how it would feel inside her.
Or how it would taste.
She thumbed the button.  A quick flick was all it would take.
A sound made her jolt, an intake of breath perhaps, followed by a sudden rise under her hands.  She snapped her eyes to his face.
Cormack was awake.
And watching her.
A fire raged within his cerulean gaze.  “Kill me now if you stop, Elen, because then I’ll know I’m well and truly cursed and I cannot be tortured anymore.”

~ EXCERPT ~

Curious, I shifted closer to the screen. The shot narrowed and swiveled lower, moving past a bucket chair in a dingy corner, grazing across pockmarked floorboards, before landing on a hand painted wooden trunk in the middle of the floor.
I squinted, making out some kind of Chinese carving of two ladies posing in front of a jade screen, with a whole bunch of letters etched around the edges. It jarred, surprisingly exotic and out of place with what I’d seen of Ronan’s recording studio in the clip so far.
The camera swept upwards, showing a stainless steel oblong calendar, a chrome lamp, a pale blue porcelain bowl filled with Tibetan prayer beads and a leather-bound journal perched on top of the trunk. Odd, I’d never picked Roman as the prayer type. As the shot swung wider I glimpsed two pillows propped behind the trunk on the floor and, as the camera panned, someone sleeping on their side.
A girl. With bad taste in clothes, going by her faded camouflage harem pants and splotchy crimson halter and purple sneakers.
Annoyed at the instant flare of jealousy, I closed my eyes for a second and rubbed them. Ronan seemed like a stand-up guy. He wouldn’t have asked me out if he had a girl- friend—one with shocking fashion sense who liked to take naps on the floor.
Taking a calming breath, I opened my eyes and refocused. On that ugly red halter-top. And how the splotches seemed to have seeped into the girl’s skin, tattooing her in a random gross pattern.
My breath quickened as I leaned so far forward my nose almost touched the screen. The crimson darkened in patches. At odds with any commercial dye job.
That’s when I saw it.
The deep red pool spreading beneath her torso and staining the floor.
The puckering of her skin beneath her arm.
The gaping gash as the arm fell forward, revealing a horrific crisscross pattern of slashes.
One-second time frames depicting a horror I couldn’t contemplate.
I stared at the screen in revulsion, transfixed, not daring to comprehend.
The camera panned back to the calendar: November 11.
Seven days from today.
A whole week leading up to the murder of a faceless girl.
Slain on my boyfriend’s floor.
A silent scream wedged in my throat, choking, struggling to get out. I shut down the clip with shaky fingers.
This couldn’t be real.
Unless...
I almost wished the horror I’d glimpsed on that screen was real, for if it wasn’t then I had a far greater horror to face.
The possibility I’d imagined the entire episode.
Just like Mom.

••• Forgotten Treasures ~ Excerpt •••

“This place is unbelievable.” I looked over at him as he stared out the window. “I bet you bring all the girls here.”

“Actually, you’re the first.”

Yep, I was a goner.

“There. Look. A shooting star.” He pointed excitedly.

I caught the end of the blazing trail. “Make a wish.”

“It already came true.” He squeezed my hand.

I didn't think I ever wanted to let it go. It just fit so perfectly with mine, like they were meant to be together. We were meant to be together. I rolled my head to face him while still resting on the headrest. “I like you, Mr. Brandt.”

Instead of answering me, he leaned over the console, causing serious eruptions in my blood. As he got closer, the anticipation had my chest heaving hard for breaths. He reached out and took a lock of hair next to my cheek and stroked it slowly, never losing eye contact. I finally saw that his eyes were a swirl of hazel and green, and his lips only inches from me were a supple red that screamed for mine. His thumb brushed my jawline, causing me to shiver inappropriately. He rested his forehead on mine, trying to control his own urge to jump me.

“I’m going to kiss you, if you’ll let me.” He restrained his whisper.

I couldn't take my eyes off his lips. The words, “Uh-huh,” managed to slip out as we were suspended in air.

He let go of my hair and gripped the back of my neck desperately as he grazed his lips on mine, releasing a gasp from me. I was fully charged and ready to go. I was ready for him to take me to another place. Somewhere I had only read about. A place I never dreamed I would visit.

~REVIEW ~
4.5 STARS - MIGHT BE 5 STARS LATER ;)

This was definitely an emotional ride. Well, the beginning parts of the story wasn't that much and all you get was the girl who ended up waking in the hospital with dissociative amnesia and who literally may end up somewhere if not for the help of certain guy, make that two guys.

I don't know how to start this without spoiling anything but I can tell you one thing is for sure, Baylor suffered greatly for her loss and with what she's feeling, she had a moment of weakness. I understood her despite what she experienced and perhaps her losing her memory turned out for the better especially when she remembered her past and those she loves.

F.Y.I. (Some spoilers ahead but read at your own peril! Don't say I didn't warn you.)

LAST CHANCE!

I find Baylor's actions selfish after her first and her second loss. Seriously. Why couldn't she think of Brandt or Grady but most especially Brandt. Speaking of Brandt, I had a kind of foreshadowing moment there and I was right about and kind of with the other bigger, tragedy part.

Brandt was one of a guy but I guess the only one who's helping him keep it together was Baylor despite the tragedy he experienced as well. Although it's understandable that people cope differently. I'm glad that Brandt was stronger despite it might have ended differently if anything were to happen to Baylor.

I liked how the author showed not only what happened to the accident but at the very beginning on how they met and afterwards. Their love for another was just W.O.W. I still can't stop myself for gushing over them. Brandt had already a kind of darker past and Baylor was the light to his darkness. They were both kind of funny how they avoided each other till the last minute and never realizing that they are each other's half. I liked how they waited but well, let's just it was day early.

Moving on. I probably thought it was best for Baylor to not remember her past and just live a new one at the same time it wasn't bad when she remembered. It made her better despite the way how it happened. Lucky for her she survive because there's just one other surprise.

What I loved about this most was the support of the two brothers and how she was help professionally. And like I mentioned, after that incident she wanted to live.

I can't help but say I pitied Grady almost throughout the whole book. I won't explain the details but I was hoping that he would have his own HEA. I loved the epilogue and  I have to say, I was shocked. Please, oh, please, let Grady has his own book.
