What can I say? I just love the works of this author.

Poppy Carvene sort of reminds me of Lily. They are both strong women with a dash of femininity.  Poppy is a very determined person and she goes after what she wants. The hero is one hunk of a man. They perfectly complement each other.

Moving along. Despite Poppy defying her father's wishes like unknowingly sleeping with the enemy and joining the ranks of said enemy, her father is still very supportive and overprotective of her.

Even though the author mentioned some background of what is happening in the story not everything is revealed yet. However, there are some things that would give you an inkling such as the relationship between Poppy and the hero.

I also like the other shifters in the story. I can't wait to read their own stories and delved into the world of this story.

Isn't the cover pretty. Reading the book, the cover made perfect sense.

Arizona's story past was sad. She just lost her father and she was running from his killers. In which led her to finding a key which opened the door that led her to Terlant.

Her first acquaintance when she arrived at Terlant was Kingsley. I liked how she was calm when learned that she wasn't on Earth. It also led her meeting to Lucifer (who's super hot, just fangirling over here), who was a spare to a kingdom but due to some circumstances he doesn't want to be found by his family.

Arizona and Lucifer both live together for years and helped one another. What led them to the game master was because of a certain talking frog who thought they need a bit of spice in their life. At first I really thought he betrayed them but did more of a favor.

Arizona and Lucifer accepted the challenge to become part of the Guard. Along the challenges that they have undergone, it also made Arizona realized something about herself. Her true feelings.

This was just too sweet and how they finally got together.

It may be short but I loved rereading it.

I wish there was more.

I loved Scarlett Dawn's works. I was really looking forward to her next installation of Moon Mark because I was sort of disappointed with the first.
At first I thought Madeline was weak but she wasn't really. Although compared to her other heroines, Madeline has a weak personality.

I was looking for the yummy romance between Geo and Madeline. There was no insta-love in this case. Their relationship didn't start out well. Even then I was looking forward to the development of their relationship but it wasn't their.

It jumped to a physical relationship fast but I understood that the first was because they had no choice. And when Madeline realized what she was and what it meant, she ran.

Although eventually she returned.

What I appreciated was the sister of Geo. She was very protective of him and he to her. Still, I felt for her when that little twist happened.

All in all, it wasn't bad. This was a quick easy read.

This was actually a very interesting read of the author. I loved a good time travel romance and this was a bit different from other books of this genre. This was the second book I've read about time travel that's a world of its own but the heroine from both stories were both different and at the same time sort of similar.

I can totally relate to how Donna feels because that's how I felt about myself but I'm getting to where Donna is at now since she changed so much throughout the whole story. That was my favorite part of the story wherein Donna changed for the better. I won't get into details with Peleus and Donna's relationship but it was rocky at start because of some miscommunication and the opinion of others that gets in their road to happiness. The relationship between Peleus and Donna started slow because like I mentioned it was rocky at first, it took a while for them to understand one another and while the suspense was killing me, it was worth the wait especially when they admitted their feelings to one another.

On another note, I do like the teacher of Donna. It's because of him that Donna found the place where she truly belong and his cool, eccentric, and a genius. Donna also has closer relationship to him than her own family.  I also disliked her bestfriend and boyfriend but everything turned out better for the end.

I received an arc for a blog tour.

I kind of have mixed feelings regarding Chosen Fool but still 5 stars.

Chosen Fool surprised me. (Technically, I'm always surprised by this author). Anyway, the plot was the most interesting part because of the twist and turns. I even reread some parts because of all those secrets that were revealed.

Caro has much greatly improved in character but I'm kind of disappointed with her romance in which I really can't pinpoint whom she'll end up with. As much as I love the mystery, I'm also want to know whom she'll end up with. I've been rooting for Sin since the beginning. Their reason for not being together made sense but I just wished they weren't afraid to go for it. I feel like they are meant to be but with all her love interest it's kind of difficult to ascertain whom she'll be with. Then, there was that little twist with a certain leader of the Air elementals (which I'm sort of happy about) but that kind of went down the drain when I read the ending (lolz). Well, if you're rooting for Sin like me you'll understand but seriously I never expected that ending.

I am know wondering if that incident in the end is related to a certain character or is it just a coincidence?

I so can't wait for the next book. I'm hoping that it would be released by the end of the year.

I received an arc via netgalley and thank you to the author.

TEASER:

“I get it,” she said. “I finally get it.” She wouldn’t look up at me, instead concentrating on her hands. There were a few freckles on the backs of them. I wanted to take one of her purple pens and connect them to make constellations on her skin.

“Get what?” I asked. Her eyes came up to my face.

“Why you’re so obsessed with me.” I raised both eyebrows, but inside, I was panicked. What if she figured me out? That would be disastrous. It would be the end.

“And why is that?” I said, trying to be playful.

“I’m mysterious,” she said, she wiggled her fingers in front of my face and the right side of her mouth drew up. Was that a smirk? Did Ingrid just smirk at me?

“Oh, is that what you think it is?” After so many intense moments, this moment of levity was like a cool drink for a parched throat.

“Definitely. What else could it be?” I wasn’t going to answer that.

“You got me,” I said, putting my hands up as if I surrendered. “I’m a sucker for a mystery.”

She nodded and I thought I spotted another smile, but it was gone quickly, stuffed away behind rigid lips.

“Thank you,” she said, so quietly that I almost didn’t catch it.

“You’re very welcome, Ingrid. Anytime.” I got up and brought her some pizza and another glass of water. I had the feeling she hadn’t been eating much recently.

She carefully ate two slices and had two water refills. It made the color in her cheeks come back.

“You must think I’m crazy,” she said.

“No. I don’t think that at all.” I wouldn’t think that about anyone, least of all her.

“Liar.”

“I’m not lying. Look at me.” I would never get used to the way her eyes seared into me.

“I don’t think you’re crazy, Ingrid. Not even a little bit.” Her eyes narrowed and I could tell she was assessing if I was telling the truth or not.

“Okay,” she finally said. “I believe you.”

“Good.”
