Prophecy of the Most Beautiful (Oracle of Delphi #1)
Release Date: 03/01/12
Summary from Goodreads:
She has a destiny so great that even the gods fear her.

Constant hallucinations and the frequent conversations with the voices in her head, have earned eighteen-year-old Chloe Clever the not-so-coveted title of "Whack Job" in her home town of Adel, Georgia. Fed up with prescription meds and therapists, she wishes for a life where she is destined to be more than the butt of everyone's jokes and mockery.

Be careful what you wish for has never rung more true.

After a vicious attack and learning that her favorite rockstar is an Olympian god, she is thrust into her new life as the Oracle of Delphi, the prophesier of the future. Setting out to fulfill the prophecy she has been given, Chloe learns of how great she is to become, all the while fighting mythical monsters and trying to outwit the ever-cunning Greek gods who harbor secrets of their own. While on a mission to discover the Most Beautiful, she strives to uncover the mysteries of the demigod Prince who has sworn to protect her with his life…and threatens to win her heart in the process.

TOP TEN HEROINES

Some of these chicks will always make this list. Some will end up being replaced. Tis just the way of life.

10. Celeana, Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. MaasThough Im not the biggest fan of the first book, I did like Celeana a lot. She never became complacent or too trusting of anyone even when all signs said she should. Plus, shes an assassin. Im in.

9. Katy, Lux series by Jennifer L. ArmentroutTo deal with Daemon Black, youd better be hardcore. But I just love Katys personality and her sincere heart. She always fights for those she loves and she will kill for them if she has to. And she and Daemon together are just darling.

8. Cat, Night Huntress series by Jeaniene FrostKick ass demon hunter is right! I adore Cat. She is everything I love in a strong heroine. Wanna be just like her when I grow up.

7. Hermione Granger, Harry Potter series by J.K. RowlingYou can't make a list like this and leave off Hermione. I always LOVED that she was the brains of the trio and that without her, Harry and Ron probably would've been killed off in their first year LOL.

6. Dani O' Malley, Fever series by Karen Marie MoningFor a 14-year-old, Dani is pretty bad ass. I love her abilities and that she doesn't take crap from anyone. Human or Fae. Im simply dying for Burned to come out next year!

5. Katniss Everdeen, Hunger Games series by Suzanne CollinsWhat really needs to be said about Katniss? She is FIERCE, smart, and brave. But most of all, she is a survivor and in the world of Panem, that's the best trait to have.

4. Danerys Targarean, A Song of Fire and Ice series by George R.R. MartinNow I will admit, I like her better in the show than in the books, but who can deny the awesomeness of Danerys? She has DRAGONS! I love dragons. Plus, she's the only female contender for the Iron Throne. Who can hate on that?

3. MacKayla Lane, Fever series by Karen Marie MoningShe s the main Fever chick. She starts off as a naive, innocent boob, but turns into this dangerously amazing heroine who kicks ass and doesnt bother to take any names. She doesnt care.

2. Xhex, Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. WardThis. Broad. Is. BAD. From the second I was introduced to Xhex in the BDB series, I was a fan. She's not just a vampire. She's a sympath who wears spiked chains around her thighs to keep her powers at bay. Oh, and she's an assassin. The baddest chick.

1. Chloe Clever, Oracle of Delphi series by ME!Of course, I had to pick Chloe. She's an amazing character with a lot of fantastic abilities and she's FUNNY! But I really love her because of how fiercely protective she is of the ones she cares about. Mess with her loved ones and you're dead. She's strong, snarky, and intelligent. She makes mistakes but she learns from them. Overall, she's my favorite heroine, and I think she always will be.
