Reflection Pond (Reflection Pond, #1)
Release Date: 04/01/14
Urban Fey Press
242 pages
Summary from Goodreads:
Sometimes you find home, sometimes it comes looking for you.

Callie knows a lot more about pain than she does about family. She’s never belonged, at least, not until she falls through a portal into her true home. The beautiful faerie city of Eirensae doesn’t come free. Callie must find her amulet and bind herself to the city, and most importantly, avoid the Fallen fae who seek her life. Seems like a small price to pay for the family she’s always wanted.

Then she meets cynical and gorgeous Rowan, who reads the darkness of her past in her eyes. He becomes Callie’s part-time protector and full-time pain in the ass. He has secrets of his own for Callie to unravel. What they don’t know is that the future of Eirensae lies with them, and the once peaceful city is about to become a battleground for power.

~ REVIEW~
4 STARS

For some reason, I did not notice that the theme involved the fae. One minute she was running away then the next she fell into the pond. I kind of had to reread that part a bit. So slow (mentally slaps myself). Anyways, moving on.

I instantly got hooked on Reflection Pond despite giving it 4 stars. The plot itself was mind boggling. I know it involves faeries but at the same time the mystery in the plot thickens. One minute you think it will reveal something then the next bam! Another mystery.

How can I spoil this without actually spoiling the story itself? Again... Moving... On...

Callie does not have a good life in the human world and her diving literally into another magical world may just be her limit. There's some complain here and there, yadda yadda. I find that Callie's character lacked depth. Sure, she's powerful and is in denial about that but it's like the other heroines. Although there's room for adjustments there. Then there's the relationship between her, Rowan, and Ash. Although I loved the chemistry between Rowan and Callie, their whole relationship was suddenly there. It felt kind of rush to me, same with Ash. Then both guys are in love with her and I don't know why she let one of them hanging then just shot down. Enough spoiler for that.

Then, the ending just leaves you hanging. I can't wait to read the next installment. I also want to know more about the secrets that weren't revealed yet especially the ones involving both Rowan and Callie.
